Sophos has issued protection for Troj/Stinx-A.
At the time of writing, Sophos has received a small number of
reports of this Trojan from the wild.
Customers using EM Library, Enterprise Console, PureMessage or
any of our Sophos small business solutions will be automatically
protected at their next scheduled update.

Troj/Stinx-A is a backdoor Trojan for the Windows platform.
Troj/Stinx-A runs continuously in the background, providing a backdoor server
which allows a remote intruder to gain access and control over the computer via
IRC channels.
When first run Troj/Stinx-A copies itself to <System>\svcmfte32.exe.
The following registry entries are created to run svcmfte32.exe on startup:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
MainStart
svcmfte32.exe
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
MainStart
svcmfte32.exe
Troj/Stinx-A can be instructed to delete, execute, and download and execute
files.
Troj/Stinx-A will also try and circumvent the Windows Firewall if it is present.
