At the time of writing, Sophos has received a small number of reports of this Trojan from the wild. The Trojan copies itself to the Windows system folder as iexpIore.exe and sets the following registry entries in order to run each time a user logs on: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run WinProfile iexpIore.exe HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices WinProfile iexpIore.exe The Trojan connects to an IRC server and joins a predefined channel where it then awaits commands from remote attackers.
