I have a mackie onyx 820i, and I had received the wrong cables (I believe) when
I first bought it. I had received quarter-inch to xlr cables, which I plugged
into the control room ports and into my monitors. Now I have xlr to xlr cables,
which should, as far as I can tell in the manual, be the cables I need to only
hear what is sent to the mackie's 1/2 out. However, when I send anything
directly to the 1/2 out, for example with the master bus in sonar, etc, I can't
hear anything. If I pres "assign to main mix" on the control room routing
matrix, it comes through fine, but I also hear the two computers I listen to on
my headphones. Any clue?
