Hi Noreen,

What are you using to send emails out with, is it Outlook Express?, if so try the following; 1. While in the inbox, open the "Tools menu, alt + T" and arrow down to options.
2. In here go to the "send page" using keys, "Control + tab".
3. Tab along here and make sure that any combo box you come to with HTML checked that you press the down arrow to move onto "Plain Text" instead. 4. Tab over to the OK button and press the spacebar, hopefully this will address your problem once and for all.

Paul.

Hi Flor,

Yes, you are correct and I believe that the DCM is no longer been developed within windows 8 or future screen readers. I am glad of this as I found it a pain when there were issues wit it.

Paul.

Windows8 is still only in beta. it has not yet been officially released.
and the main screen-readers do not support it yet.

Forgive my ignorance but is Microsoft moving on from Windows 7? In that
event can we upgrade from Windows 7?

Hi all,
I came on this on the Access-uk list:
Some of you might be interested in a preview of Narrator in Windows 8
due
out some time later. The link to this demo is
http://mark.candleshoreblog.com/2011/09/23/ep100-a-demonstration-of-windows-
8-developer-preview-accessibility/
<http://mark.candleshoreblog.com/2011/09/23/ep100-a-demonstration-of-windows
-8-developer-preview-accessibility/>

The quality of the voice is excellent and functionality is greatly
improved.
As someone on the access-uk list commented: i wonder how long it will be
before the commercial screen reader providers will take to object to
this!

Kind regards
Aedan.
