How are you Jackie?

Yes you answered my query very well indeed!

Now if I may, just one follow-up question on that!

I think from memory that you use a screenreader, which like myself is Jaws!

How do we know when we open a web page or are on the desktop whether either is
maximised or minimised?

Is it fair to assume that the page is maximised and the desktop minimised?

I know that a sighted person could tell at a glance.

Good to heear you so active on the list!

Keep up the good work!

Many thanks,

Tony Sweeney.

  hey Tony

as far as I know there is times when a document is opened I.e. word or the
internet and say the internet home page is the size of a post card hitting alt
and space bar then maximize puts it normal size, when its postcard size jaws
might not read everything.
as for minimizing I use this to access the icons on the desktop, hitting
windows and M when your on the desktop and say hit A would bring you to the
icon AVG, its quite useful.
  I hope this helps

  yours Jackie

    Hi All,
There has been a great deal of tuition & I trust learning on this wonderful
list of late, so I wonder is it time to slow down for just a little for now!

Now this is probably a simple one to so do, but could you be so good as to
explain with regard to maximising & minimising applications?

Why & when should we maximise, & when should we minimise?

    Thanks.

    All the best.

    Tony Sweeney.
