[vicsireland] problems with my internet explorer 8.

Hi folks and a happy Christmas and new year and many happy returns to you
all this holiday season.
I was wandering if somebody could possibly assist me with the following problem
I've been having with my internet explorer 8. First, it has been connecting
slower than usual. then, after telling my kerio personal fire wall to let ie
through, I just kept getting the message that ie was supposedly connecting,
when in reality it wasn't and every time I exited the program by pressing alt
plus f 4, it kept giving me that annoying message that the programme was not
responding etc. So I decided to reinstall ie 8. I removed the programmed from
my computer through my add/remove programs, but now my problem is that I cannot
connect to the web in order to download the new copy of ie 8 in order to
reinstall it.
I'm afraid doing a system restore would not be a good idea for me as after
doing a system restore yesterday the problems with ie have started. not only
did I have those problems with ie, but instead of the windows title tune, I
kept getting an annoying beep. removing ie 8 has miraculously solved my
problem. the windows tune is back and there is no message telling me that the
in cd service is not running every time I start windows. please note, those
problems with the title tune started after system restore and the in cd service
message started yesterday morning. that's why I thought of doing a system
restore hoping this would fix the problem. removing ie 8 today somehow
unexpectedly fixed both problems for me and I'd prefer not to do an other
system restore, in case they return.
I would like to be able to connect to the world wide web again if possible.
that's why I was wandering if anybody could possibly send me an installation
file for either ie 8 or mozila firefox which is compatible with jaws 10 via
email, if it won't be too much trouble. or would you have any other suggestions
as to how I could access one of those files? any of your suggestions would be
very welcome and appreciated.
