Damien,
I have not found any setting that raises the pitch or allows you to specify
a different voice for bolded text in NVDA. The only switch that might be
useful seems to be the "Report Font attributes" switch in the Document
formatting dialog".
When this is on NVDA says "Bold" before the word or string of words and "No
bold" at the end of the bolded font.
I don't like this feature myself as it can be a bit confusing in a sentence
such as
"The bold child is needier than the good child"
If "Bold" and "good" are bolded here the sentence would sound as follows:
"The bold bold no bold child is needier than the bold good no bold child"
Try making sense of that!
I can see why you need the voice to change rather than having the confusion
of descriptive words for the changed attributes.
You could raise a query on Github and see if a change can be made.

Does anyone know if nvda will read bolded text in a word document with a
different voice or even just a different pitch of the same voice like jaws
does? I've looked in the user guide but can't find anything there.
