Stuart,

They have no problem detecting each other. However, Joan Anne solved the
immediate problem by pointing me to a profile written by developer Jeff
Broderick and jumps me into the Bluetooth app from the home screen.

All the best,

Hi Cearbhall,

Have you tried turning on the keyboard before unlocking the phone? Sometimes
the order in which you do these things has an implication on whether or not
they will detect each other.

Stuart.

Joan Anne,

I hate to abandon something so expensive and so compact as the Stowaway
keyboard. I would love to find an app that creates a path to a task like
reconnecting so that I could just press an icon and the reconnection would
be achieved. How could I find such an app? The path would be:
Home/settings/General/Bluetooth/TinkOutside

All the best,

Hi Cearbhall
I have read about that issue with some portable keyboards but, this does not
happen with the keyboard I am using now.
It takes a little time to get used to the layout of the keys on the keyboard
and to find the punctuation but, once you get used to it, it is a very
useful tool to have with the IPhone.

If you need any help, give me a shout.
Joan Ann.

Joan Anne,

I'm glad to hear about this keyboard. I am using the Stowaway Bluetooth
keyboard by thinkOutside and it works beautifully with the IOS 5 but
disconnects when not in use for about 3 minutes. Then I have to pair it
again to get started. Have you heard anything about this problem before?

All the best,

Cearbhall

Hi Cearbhall
Yes, the keyboard works with IOS5.

To be honest, I can't remember if there were any shipping costs now as it is
quite a while ago since I bought the keyboard.

Sorry about that
Joan Ann.

Joan Anne,

Are you able to use this keyboard with the iPhone IOS 5?

I can see that they are charging a total of 30 pounds but without completing
the order I cannot see what the shipping charge is. Can you recall how much
they charged for shipping when you bought it?

All the best,

Cearbhall
