Hi guys,
 
Just a quick note to remind you all that this years VICS Information and
Technology day will be taking place on Saturday week November 21st in
the Victoria hotel, Eyre square ,Galway.
 
The provisional line-up includes:
 
Sight & Sound technology (who will display a selection of their
products).
Tim Culhane (who will demonstrate the KNFB Reader Mobile - a portable
scanning solution for the mobile phone).
Sandy Tomkins (who will present the Kapsys Kapten GPS navigational aid).
NIB (who will talk about and demonstrate accessible ATMS). 
Esmond Walshe (who will outline ways of purchasing, downloading and
playing electronic books).
Ash Technology (who will display their range of magnifier and low-vision
products).
 
The action gets under way circa 11:00 am, and will run until about
4:00pm. The format of the day will be similar to that in previous years;
seminar style presentations before lunch, and hands-on demonstrations in
the afternoon. Food will be available in the hotel.

I would encourage you to bring along any equipment / gadgets you feel
would be of interest to other VICS members.
