Hi Gerry, Flor,

Gerry, I was about to write that the player which opened up, wasn't WMP
or Winamp, and appeared to have no controls.

As I'm not subscribed to the list at home, Flor got there before me!
Just as well, as his explanation was more informative than mine could
have been.

Flor, I hadn't thought of trying iTunes.

Regards,

Eamonn

Hi Ger, Eamonn & all:

the site now uses the "Newstalk App" which is a Flash Player, not
Windows Media, (and podcasts are not downloadable mp3 at that point,
when you must use it to listen). May be possible - if you have iTunes -
to download the Right Hook and other Newstalk podcasts there but it may
be proprietary to iTunes only - apple.com, etc. It's not possible to (at
least accessibly) compress files while listening with the Flash Player,
at least for now.

h HI EAMONN, JUST AN IDEA, IF YOU ARE USING THE WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER
IS
IT POSSIBLE TO USE THE INCREASE SPEED OPTION TO GET TO THE POINT OF THE
SHOW
YOU REQUIRE AND THEN REDUCE SPEED TO NORMAL? GERRY.
