Hi Michael,
Was the NVDA software installed under admin writes?. It sounds to me like
your friend is only a standard user on that computer and not an admin user.
They would have to log into the computer under full admin writes and set
NVDA to come on at startup for it to load up automatically I would imagine.
Paul.

Subject: [vicsireland] NVDA Startup Shortcut Issue in Windows 10
Hi List Members
A friend of mine installed the latest version of NVDA on a Windows 10
system. The NVDA shortcut Alt+Cntrl+N which is used to launch NVDA isn't
working and neither is the application loading at bootup even though the
tick box for AutomaticallyStart NVDA at login is ticked.
When a sighted user clicks on the NVDA icon and chooses run as administrator
the application works perfectly.
Any one have any ideas why this is happening and how the problem can be
rectified?
Regards,
Michael
