Resolved it by shutting down the computer which I did by the tower because I
couldn't access the start menu.
Using XP though.

What screen reader are you using and what version of Window's and what
version of Outlook express?
Each screen reader has a different way of resolving problems and the
solutions depend on the version of both windows and Outlook Express.
