Tim,

Thanks a lot for that!

Also to Flor!

I have someone from IT calling to me tomorrow to assist me with the install
so your mails are very timely indeed!

Tony.

Hi Tony,

You can have as many versions of jaws installed on your pc as you like. As
only the one currently being run will be held in memory, the amount of
memory you have isn't relevant.

The only advantage I can see of having an existing version of Jaws
installed when you install a new version is that you can run the merge
utility from the new version and it will configure the new version to use
all the settings in the old version, i.e. Speech rate, verbosity settings
etc. This can save you having to configure the new version to your liking.

Tim

Hi All,

I am doing a little bit of installing at present.

I learned today that for example I could have jaws 8 & 9 on my PC at the
same time, closing down the version I don't need!

I wonder if there is any advantage to having two installed?

My memory on the computer is good!
Any response gratefully appreciated.

All the bbest,

Tony Sweeney.
