Hi DeAnn, David and all. The Uber update is OK, no problems. Here is how to get
to the MBTA Ride option:
a. Put in your origin and destination
b. Swipe down to the heading that is for the type of service it should
say something like popular or economy. Take not on how it will say page x of 5.
c. Do a three finger swipe right or left until it says page one of five.
Then do a single finger swipe to the right to locate the MBTA ride option and
double tap it.
Hope this helps
Frank
P.S. this update seems much easier to use than the previous Uber app and I just
read an email from the MBTA that the pilot has been expanded to cover all towns
serviced by the MBTA.

Thanks for the heads up! Good call. I’m planning to use Uber twice today : )

Hi folks,
Yesterday, Uber did a major update of their app. As best as I can determine, if
you are participating in the pilot program with the Ride, do not, I repeat, do
not do this update. There is no way to request the Ride. I double checked this
with a sighted user. It is not just a Voiceover issue. I sent a message to Uber
on this. I will also try to notify the MBTA later today.
