I was referring specifically to the android version of voice dream reader. As
you said, there has been a big update to the iOS version. But there was quite a
bit of discussion in the fairly recent past about the android version and the
lack of updates. And Winston said he had to hire a developer to do the android
version, and it didn't pay for itself.

Hi. Unless some news has come out that I've missed I can tell you that Voice
Dream Reader, at least the iOS version, is actively being developed. In fact,
a new update for the iOS version was just released on April 23. Mary, if you
were referring to something other than VDR I apologize if I've misinterpreted
your message.

If voice dream on Kindle is the same as the android version, which I assume
it is, it is not as good as the iOS version. I did buy the android version.
I believe development has ceased, so you might take that into account when
deciding whether you want to buy it or not.

And for those who have the latest Fire tablet, I would highly recommend
you buy the voice dream reader app from the Kindle app store.

Subject: [vi-kindle] Re: Voices for fire tablet
The voice I would like would be the Kendra voice. I have it on a PC and
also on my android device and on my iPhone with voice dream reader. I had
an old Kindle fire, but it couldn't be updated to the latest version of
voiceview. It has the old screen reader. And you couldn't get any voices
for it except for what came on the device. I heard that with the new ones,
there were other voices available in the Amazon Kindle store or whatever
they call that Store that isn't Google play store. Since Amazon owns
ivona, maker of all those voices, it would be nice to see all of them in
the Kindle play store or App Store. That's why I was wondering what was
there.

I think that the Kindle fire tablet come with Joey and Sally voices
installed. Is that correct? If so, which other voices are available from
the Kindle store?
