Hello,

Google Maps is your best App for this.

Thank you.

Subject: [vi-android] Route directions with waypoints

Hi everyone,

One of the main things stopping my wife (speech user) from going android is
that she has an app on her iPhone (blindsquare) which let's her plot a
route which includes waypoints, that is she can put in the route to the
shops and tell it to let her know when she gets to (near) number 26 Smith
street, as she knows that is the best place to cross that road, though
there aren't any good reference points as she is walking.

Is there a way of doing that on android, outside the USA?

I found a suggestion on the net to plot the route using a pc, where google
maps let's you include waypoints, then saving that to my maps and going to
your phone and adding it as a layer, which seems overly complicated and one
site suggested it no longer works anyway...

The best I can think of is to use Google maps for the overall directions
and point finder for the crossing (as long as there's only one).

Has anyone come up with a better way please?

Regards

Quentin
