****Dietrich Buxtehude* <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dieterich_Buxtehude>* Fuga in C Major "Gigue", BuxWV 174 [3:12] A jolly old fugue in 12/8 time. The bulk of the fugue is played on alternating Hauptwerk (Gedackt 8' + Salicional 8' + Octava 4' + Superoctava 2') and Rückositiv (Copol Major 8' + Quintadena 4'+ Principal 2'), with the Pedal Subbas 16' + Octave Bas 8' (on up to full coupled Pedal) waiting in the wings. It becomes a fantasy Virtual Performance at the end (only possible if two assistants have spent the last hour at the Czech equivalent of Starbucks) : the manuals build up gradually to full organ for an impertinent finish. *Midi File available.* <http://virtuallybaroque.com/50noreg2.htm> /Instrument:/ Renaissance Organ (ca. 1587) in gothic church in Smecno, Czech Republic - Samples by Jiri Zurek <http://www.sonusparadisi.cz/organs/smecno/history.0.asp> http://www.virtuallybaroque.com/track905.htm *Organtechnology supports James Pressler's Virtually Baroque Track Lists*To Subscribe or Un-subscribe from music list: http://www.virtuallybaroque.com/daily.htm VPO Organs powered by Hauptwerk, Organtechnology Computer-Sound Engines and Consulting for Hauptwerk^(TM) projects.
