A pair of prothonotaries raised 3 fat babies in a nest on the shelf on the dock---for the third year. Two other smaller babies disappeared. We hear lots of prothonotaries in the woods---hope some have nests. One pair is starting to nest now in a bluebird house on the garden fence---maybe there will be babies by the Audubon Picnic on the 25th!
