[va-richmond-general] MG April 6 2011-Allen's Hummingbird Chester VA

MG was up at 0638 this morning feeding heavy. The bare lilac she has perched in throughout the winter is now bursting with lavender blooms. The bird song before sunrise is almost deafening as she shares the garden area with winter visitors and year-long residents all looking for mates. No Ruby-throat's sighted here...not sure when she will depart as you all know. Here she is today with some of the other yard birds.
