Tina Trice and I birded James River Park in Richmond this morning. We spent our time at the Main section accessed from 42nd street. Highlights included a singing ORCHARD ORIOLE, a few "in your face" PROTHONOTARY WARBLERS, BLUE-HEADED VIREO and several CASPIAN TERNS. Other birds included NORTHERN PARULA, PALM WARBLER, YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER, WHITE-EYED VIREO, COMMON YELLOWTHROAT, OVENBIRD, YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER, HAIRY WOODPECKER, numerous BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHERS, NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOW and an abundance of singing YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS in their best Easter attire. A fun day out. Good birding. Adam D'Onofrio Dinwiddie County -------------------------------------------------------------------- mail2web - Check your email from the web at http://mail2web.com/ .
