I just came back from Florida. We visited the Keys for a day while there, and on our way back up Rte 1, I saw a huge bird sitting on top of a light pole, either on Islamorada Key or Key Largo. We pulled over and to my amazement, there sat a bald eagle. It was just looking around. I walked right up to the pole and snapped several pictures. He looked at me once, but didn't seem agitated or nervous at all. It was pretty neat. While in Florida, I saw several osprey as well and 1 pink bird. I would imagine a flamingo, but it didn't seem large enough. It was very a quick glimpse and the light could have been playing tricks on me. It was a definitely as large as, or larger than the osprey I saw moments before.
