I hit some birding spots for the BBA2 today. This morning, I checked out
Point of Rocks, where an Osprey is attempting to build a nest on one of the
light structures at the ball field. Between the high tide and wind, the water
level in the marsh was very high, and I spooked a Greater Yellowlegs, not a
particularly common species in the county.
This afternoon I was at Mid-Lothian Mines, where I heard my FOS Blue-headed
Vireo and saw a White-breasted Nuthatch sporting a blue band on its left leg.
Anyone know anything about this?
