I’ve had HETH come occasionally to my hot pepper suet cakes—had one on the
ground underneath yesterday--and when I lived in SE VA ruby crowned kinglets
and pine warblers regularly ate it. PIWE showed up here in Richmond on my suet
yesterday. The bluebirds love it too, and it keeps the squirrels away.

Subject: [va-richmond-general] Birds attracted to suet
Hi,
Last night at the RAS meeting Larry R. mentioned hanging up beef suet for
Ruby-crowned Kinglets and having good success. We have had great success with
most birds coming to suet cakes in our yard. This morning a Hermit Thrush was
hanging out at ye olde suet getting beak-fuls. Here's a couple photos as I did
a quick dash to the window with the camera.
