I visited Sky Meadows SP and vicinity with Kurt Gaskill on Saturday
morning to look for vesper sparrows. Despite the rain we found 15 in
two separate flocks. 5 were in the field next to the stables at the
bridle tail of Sky Meadows. 10 were in a flock in a field on Harrison
Road, past the pond. Other birds of note were horned grebe along
Harrison Road, and 7 to 9 red-headed woodpeckers, singing brown
thrasher, and yellow-bellied sapsucker at Sky Meadows.
