While walking to school today the green heron was
where I usually see my first-of-the-year in the
tiny neighborhood pond in the OakMarr
neighborhood along Elmendorf Rd, Oakton, Fairfax
Co. At 7:30 AM he was asleep with his head under
his wing in a willow along the shore. This is the
first day I have walked this route since last
Wednesday when the bird was not present.
Happy Spring
