VA Birders,
The last day (today) of mist netting for the MAPS class at Airlie in
Fauquier County yielded a hatch year MOURNING WARBLER, a hatch year
NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH, and hatch year YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER. We also
banded about 7 or 8 hatch year GRAY CATBIRDS today, which is way more
than any other day. A couple hatch year OVENBIRDS and an adult PRAIRIE
WARBLER rounded out the warblers. Other birds today included WOOD
THRUSH, DOWNY WOODPECKER, FIELD SPARROW, and INDIGO BUNTING.
