Hello,
I found a late LINCOLN'S SPARROW at Lowe's Island
Club, a private golf course in the NE corner of
Loudoun County. This is part of sector 16 of the
Seneca, Md. CBC, which Bob Klarquist and I birded
yesterday. I got great side views of the bird in the
morning and again in the afternoon. Only a fair view
of the underparts was obtained. The Lincoln's was
part of a large, mixed flock of sparrows.
The Seneca CBC circle is approx. half in Va., half in
Md. It includes the Great Falls, Reston and Ashburn
areas of No. Va.
