very slow days over the past week. yesterday, the tenth, we had a nice morning
Am. robin flight, ably tallied by Harry Armistead and Brian Taber. From 7-1030
the rough estimate was around 40,000. The flight continued on for a bit then
peetered. Also, many goldfinches, bluebirds, blackbirds, grackles and tree
swallows were on the move.
As for the raptors, we seem to be at the very tail end of this year's
migration. But, we're still holding out for one last push, hopefully with many
buteos. Perhaps the crisp weather coming after this current wetness will bestow
birds to the Delmarva.

Deniz has been catching a good percentage of the flight at the trapping
station. Yesterday, she had 23 (22 Sharpies and 1 N. harrier) out of 91
trappable birds (not vultures) and 16 today out of 62 birds.
