[VA-bird] hummingbird behavior

I have not seen any hummingbirds on my flowers this spring and summer while I 
have been home.  A hummingbird finally appeared on my flowers and feeder last 
weekend.  I think it is the same hummer that has been coming to the flowers for 
the past few years.  She likes to hover and look into my CLOSED patio door and 
watch my cats watching her.
