We had a good morning in the yard here yesterday as well. The biggies were two
Blue-headed Vireos and a Baltimore Oriole, both firsts for the yard list. These
were part of a large mixed flock of birds that moved through around 8:30am and
included Yellow-rumped Warblers, Cedar Waxwings, Golden-crowned Kinglets, and
Northern Parulas. We also heard or saw this year's first Great-crested
Flycatcher, Wood Thrush and Red-eyed Vireo, all resident species here.
