Hi everyone,
I've been birding in west Mexico and California for the past three weekends,
and have essentially missed the migration here so far. It's nice to see
spring is progressing along. Here are a few mildly interesting birds I've
noted in my yard this week:
Chimney Swift - 3 birds arrived on 4/15 and have been present since
Wood Thrush - 1 bird on 4/17 and 4/18
Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 1 bird on 4/18
Blue-headed Vireo - singles on 4/15 and 4/16
Yellow-rumped Warblers - present all week but a nice movement on 4/18
Chipping Sparrow - birds on territory all week
Purple Finch - 6 birds on 4/17
Hopefully this weekend I can get out for some real birding
Alex
