VA Birders
About 9:30 am this morning, Nov. 22, Anne Strahan, Joanna Taylor and I
saw a flock of 36 Tundra Swans fly, single file, over Fort C.F. Smith Park in
Arlington Co. Surprisingly, in the middle of the flock were 4 smaller, darker
birds, which we decided were Canada Geese. The birds were heading down river,
and I couldn't help thinking that their path took them over Arlington
Cemetary, a fitting memorial tribute to the late President John F. Kennedy, who
was
killed 41 years ago today.
