Birds of note today at Huntley Meadows include:
Bald Eagle - Two sightings today of an adult bird, one at 6:45 a.m. and the
other at
around 10:30 a.m. Might be the same bird, but the second sighting was a bird
that
appeared to be "just passing through."
Little Blue Heron - An immature in all-white plumage flew in from the direction
of the
welcome center toward the observation tower.
Prarie Warbler - One, possibly two Prarie Warblers were seen in a meadow
bordered
by deciduous trees and scattered pines.
**Conditions today were difficult, with intermittent rain**
Happy Birding!
