The front last night didn't do as much on the Eastern Shore as we might have
liked; both numbers and diversity of Neotropical and short-distance migrants
were lower than one might have guessed based on the weather map. The winds
were perhaps too strong for a good migration before 0230, so it might be that
tomorrow morning's flight is better (though we tend to do better on NW winds
here). The reverse migration at Sunset Beach was surprisingly skittish this
morning, considering the light winds from the NNE, and it seemed to come in
waves with 15 minute lulls in between, rather odd. Numbers are below, the
first from Sunset Beach 0710 to 0815, the other from Kiptopeke 0905 to 1130.
