It is my estimate that there were more Chipping Sparrows than human
freshmen on the George Mason campus today. Heard but not seen there: lots
of jays, and the distinct call of a Fish Crow. Frustratingly, the Fish
Crow was outside my window as I taught my 1:30 class, so I was prevented
from going to the window and calling back to it... they already think
Professor is weird enough.
