Hello, birders.
I birded the Shearman's Mill Trail in SMSP as part of
my bird survey. I also checked out the fishing pond
and the Visitor's Center area. It was a good day
despite the precipitation that fell the entire time.
The birds were generally vocal and numerous.
Highlights:
Semi. Plover (fishing lake)
Spotted Sandpiper (lake also)
R.h. Woodpecker - 1 at Visitor's Center)
Yellow Warbler
Magnolia
B.t. Blue
Blackpoll
Am. Redstart
Com. Yellowthroat
Wilson's Warbler - 1 female.
Bobolink - 1 male singing near V.C.
