[va-bird] Short-eared Owl

Birders,
This morning Rosemarie and I saw the following birds in Orange & Culpeper Counties.

Tallied a total of 43 species within two hours. Some birds of note follow:

Short-eared Owl - Rt. 615 two hundred yards north of Orange.

Horned Larks (9) - Bloomsbury Rd. adjacent to Orange Airport
Black-backed Gull (2) - Lake Orange
Ring-billed Gull (310) - Lake Orange
Herring Gull (1) - Lake Orange
Pied-bill Grebe (1) - Lake Orange
Bi-ringed Plover (aka Killdeer)- Lake Orange
Great-blue Heron (1) - Lake Orange

Tundra Swan (1) - Horseshoe Farm, Rt. 614 - Culpeper County (with 250 Canada Geese).
Bald Eagle (2) - Horseshoe Farm (1); Yard (1) flying over. " "
Chipping Sparrow (2)-Yard, Field Sparrow (17), Song Sparrows, White-crowned Sparrows, White-throated Sparrows.
Cedar Waxwings (32), Hermit Thrush (3), Winter Wren (1), Belted Kingfisher (2).

Yellow-bellied Sapsucker (5), Red-bellied, Pileated, Flickers & Hairy Woodpeckers.
Purple Finches, Golden-crowned Kinglets, Yellow-rumped Warblers, Eastern Bluebirds & other usual birds.
