Riverbend Park meadow (Fairfax County) produced a nice wave of migrants
between 7:45 AM and 9:00 AM on Monday morning.
Warblers seen: 1 Blue-winged, 1 No. Parula, 3 Chestnut-sided, 4 Magnolia, 1
Black-throated Green, I Prairie (rare at Riverbend in my experience), 1 Palm, 1
Black-and-white, 4 Redstarts, and 1 Common Yellowthroat. Other migrants
included 2 Warbling Vireos, 2 Rose-breasted Grosbeak, and a Scarlet Tanager.
This morning, Thursday, the meadow was devoid of warblers. Best sightings
were two Rose-breasted Grosbeak.
