A Spotted Sandpiper joined the visiting Solitary Sandpiper at the abbey ponds
today, and another Osprey took a turn around the ponds but left without trying
for a meal.
A yellow Palm Warbler foraged along the edge of the abbey garden late this
evening, before mounting to the top of a tree, and taking off for the north. I
heard several Cerulean Warblers singing just a little down the hill from the
abbey, and another male Rose-breasted Grosbeak visited the feeders.
