Hi All,
Eleven members of the Northern Virginia Bird Club showed
up for our walk at Occoquan NWR this morning and saw 53
species. The best birds of the morning were a Black-billed
Cuckoo and four Bobwhites. The most unusual aspect was the total lack of
sparrows. All that grassland, and nothing to show for it.
