VA BIRDers,
Joe Coleman, John Drummond, Jay Keller, Linda Millington, Marc Ribaudo and
myself birded North Fork Wetlands early in the morning and then Sky Meadows
late mourning. Highlights were a fine Northern Harrier display at Sky Meadows
as the fog burned off, the usual Red-headed WP along the Bridle Trail, Common
Ravens at Sky Meadows, House Wren at Sky Meadows, Marsh Wren at North Fork,
American Pipits at North Fork, Palm Warbler at North Fork, Vesper Sparrow and
Fox Sparrow (the latter singing) at Sky Meadows, and a single Rusty Blackbird
at Sky Meadows. The species list and estimated numbers are below, North Fork
first.
