[va-bird] Re: No Rufous at noon

Rufous watchers,
I am currently keeping a sightings log for the Records Committee: if you
have a non-sighting (or a sighting!) to report, particularly in the next
few days, please let me know. The committee would like to get an accurate
"last sighting" date, and it helps to know if the Rufous isn't being
reported because no one has been looking, or because she may have actually
moved on (although I'm sure we all hope she'll stick around a while
longer!).

Laura is "right on" asking for non-sightings as well as sightings. Last
sighting dates are much tougher to determine than first sighting dates, so
send in any info you gather. Typically, wintering hums tend to leave their
winter homes sometime in January, so the Rufous might be off on her spring
migration trek at any time. If you want to see her before she's off, you'd
better hoof it over to the SI quick!
