Tonight at 7:43 PM at Long Branch Nature Center in Arlington I heard a
familiar buzz. My view of the sky was obstructed, but I saw four and later
seven
Common Nighthawks up there doing their thing, plus more later. My guess is that
at least a dozen were out there in the immediate area over the next 15
minutes. Also, it was a nice sunset with delicate colors on high cirrus
clouds.
This was my first hearing/sighting of CONIs this fall season here. Cheers,
