We saw at least 3 (perhaps 4) Common Nighthawks tonight while sitting on our
deck. Being that we rarely see them out here, it was quite a thrill! For each
of the 2 previous summers we've been here, we've only seen 3 birds total, so
this makes 6.
Having come from Minnesota, where I was used to seeing and hearing many every
Year, I certainly appreciate these brief encounters with what few we do get. If
only we lived in Galax!! :-)
