Larry Meade and I checked out NY Monuments at Manassas Nat. Park in Prince
William Co. this morning from 7:00 to 8:00. There was Wild Turkey in the
parking lot (along with 7 White-tails) as we arrived. The high-light was an
early migrant male Nashville Warbler, a couple of Black-and-White Warblers
and a Pine Warbler. It was good to see numerous Yellow-billed Cuckoos,
Blue-gray Gnat-catchers and Great-crested Flycatchers.
A trip down Bristow Road in Nokesville was unproductive. It was very dry and
the only birds we saw were Killdeer and a couple of Laughing Gulls.
Cheers,
Phil
