24 members of the NV Bird Club had an excellent morning at Riverbend Park
,Fairfax County, with a good selection of warblers being seen or heard .With
the foliage being fully out spotting the warblers needed patience and some
parts of the park were strangely devoid of any birds at all ,which may be
connected with the gypsy moth spraying operations carried out earlier last
week.
Highlights were roosting Nighthawk , Palm,Blue-winged , Blackburnian
,Nashville, Yellow-throated Warblers , Warbling Vireo,Indigo Buntings and
both Orchard and Baltimore Orioles. Full list follows:
