As a follow-up to Joanna Taylor's post announcing a NORTHERN PARULA at
Occoquan, I can confirm that and provide a nice picture. I also photographed
a bird that I think was a BLUE-WINGED WARBLER. The photographs leave
something to be desired for ID, but I did note some of the salient points
leading me to my tentative identification as a BWWA, possibly first-spring
male. I did get better views by eye but the bird kept moving as I tried to
photograph it. The head was all yellow. I may be mistaken, but this the
closest I came in my search.

Other pictures include what I believe is a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, an OSPREY
carrying what appeared to have been a Goldfish or Koi, and a BLACK VULTURE
with a rather large fish taht it was trying to eat. In all, I added nine
pictures to my Occoquan gallery (the first nine), with four being the
possible Blue-winged Warbler.
I did see (and photograph, but not worth posting) the male RED-BREASTED
MERGASNSER, GREATER YELLOWLEGS, WOOD DUCKS, several GREAT BLUE HERONS, a
pair of BALD EAGLES, and what appeared to be a large raft of SCAUP.
