VA Birders,
Late this morning (22 July) I saw a Mississippi Kite flying south, fairly low,
over Highway 50 near the Fairfax County Parkway. The bird was low enough that
I could see it was not a juvenile, and given that I saw no barring in the
underwing or tail, it was probably a full adult (although I didn't have
binoculars so could not confirm this).
