[va-bird] Lots of Collared Doves

The populationof Eurasian Collared Doves in the Sandbridge area of Virginia
Beach continues to expand. A total of 27 were seen yesterday, 19 of which were
side-by-side on the telephone wires along the 2800 block of Sandpiper Rd. Down
at Back Bay, it appears a falconer has lost his falcon. A young Peregrine
Falcon with leather jesses attached to the legs flew by and landed on a sand
dune, allowing a nice photo op.

On the home front, the Wilson's and Orange-crowned Warblers continued in the
yard Saturday and Sunday, and a young Baltimore Oriole fed from the hummingbird
feeder on Friday and Saturday.
