Sorry for the late posting. On Friday (5/9) I did some scouting for the
Roanoke/Lynchburg Bird Clubs' Big Spring Day, within the Peaks of Otter CBC
circle, and covering principally Bedford County. I found a single Lincoln's
Sparrow that day that was not found on count day Saturday. Also seen on
Friday but not Saturday were four Bobolinks (one male). On Saturday,
however, our group found an Empidomax flycatcher that with some coaxing from
a playback tape gave us its Willow Flycatcher song.
